We continue to specialize in traditional construction because such boats are durable, easy to maintain and allow any single piece to be removed and replaced. We have found ways to build beautiful long-lasting boats with greatly reduced requirements for care. With rot-resistant woods, careful engineering and good craftsmanship, a well-designed wooden boat can be expected to last a century or more with a minimum of annual upkeep.
